Hong Leong MSIG Takaful Berhad (HLM Takaful) is pleased to announce En. Mohd Fauzi Yaakub as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with effect from 15 May 2012.

As CEO, En Fauzi is entrusted to steer HLM Takaful's operations and business to maximize the company's growth potential both in the family and general takaful segment.

He brings along with him a total of 25 years of vast working experiences from different industries such as finance, automotive distribution, asset management, construction and 9 solid years in the insurance industry.

Prior to joining HLM Takaful, he was the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at a leading engineering and construction company in Malaysia which is also a major player in the infrastructure development and maintenance industry.

He was also the CEO of Uni Asia General Insurance Berhad (UAG), an insurance company providing motor, personal, health, group personal accident, home, travel as well as marine, aviation and engineering insurance products. He was with UAG from July 2000 to March 2009 and had prior to his position as CEO, held various senior positions including the positions of Chief Operating Officer, Senior General Manager/General Manager of Corporate Services Division and Chief Internal Auditor.

En Fauzi holds a Masters in Business Administration, Bachelor of Business Administration and Diploma in Banking Studies. He is also an Associate of the Malaysian Insurance Institute (MII) and a Professional Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors of Malaysia.
